Project Management and Cost Consultancy

Silver was able to call on an unrivalled depth of experience to deliver the broad range of construction consultancy services demanded by this challenging project.

We initially provided project management and cost consultancy, from the acquisition of Queen’s Wharf through to planning consent. This required us to project manage a design team and ensure a ‘buildable’ solution, and involved overcoming construction constraints arising from the proximity of the river wall and an underlying sewer. We also negotiated formal agreements with the Local Authority, Environment Agency and Port of London Authority.

Once the Riverside Studios had been acquired and planning consent obtained for the development of both sites, Silver was appointed to meet further requirements. We acted as:

  • Enhanced Client Agent, advising and supporting A2Dominion’s legal advisors in the formation of a Joint Venture arrangement. We helped draft all associated legal agreements, as well as preparing and negotiating an Outline JCT Design & Build Contract for the wider development.
  • Employer’s Agent to the Joint Venture LLP, tasked with preparing and negotiating a full suite of Contract Particulars based upon a JCT 2011 Design & Build Contract, and the outlined conditions previously agreed.
  • Independent Certifier to the Funder.
  • Supervising officer for delivery of the Riverside Studios enhanced shell and core.
