With specialists from contractor and consultancy backgrounds, and proven systems in place, we are uniquely qualified to do whatever is needed, working smoothly and productively with everyone involved, and looking after the client’s best interests at every stage.
The key to effective project management is providing the information and advice the client needs to have control of their project throughout. Unusually for the industry, the Silver team includes technical experts familiar with the preconstruction phase, giving us the flexibility to lead any project from day one. Our involvement at the design stage can reduce risks and forestall potential delays and cost overruns. Whatever the challenge, we work closely with the client to prepare a practical, whole-life programme to keep the project on time and within budget, and see it through to a successful and sustainable conclusion.
We have been working on JVs for over a decade and are currently involved in managing circa £1bn (construction value) of JV contracts.
We not only act as JV Supervisor and/or Employer’s Agent but we broker and facilitate the entire JV process.
Our contracting insight allows us to interrogate and understand all financial information presented. This level of detailed understanding allows us to actively participate in raising early warning flags and working with the team for resolution of challenges.
This collaborative and often open book approach is increasingly being delivered for Clients on JV arrangements led by Silver.

The project involved the demolition of Keybridge House, a five-storey podium and 16-storey tower, whilst retaining, adapting and incorporating its double basement in to the new scheme. Previously owned by BT and once the world’s largest international digital telephone exchange; as the basement was reinforced with abnormal concrete slabs, the main tower incorporated asbestos within its structure and the site is close to a railway viaduct. The project presented a number of challenges.
Phase 2 comprised the demolition of existing buildings and associated structures (retained basement), and the design and construction of 125 residential dwellings and new school to ground and basement (including fit-out), associated external works and infrastructure.

Associate Director, Pre-Construction
Darren joined Silver in 2015. Previously he held senior positions in pre-construction and led multi-disciplinary teams for a wide range of clients at two of the UK's largest construction companies.
“The Silver approach is about getting the best product for our clients, no matter who they are or what type or size of scheme. We work together to identify and mitigate, or encounter and solve, problems. We understand how contractors need to operate and what our clients need. The result is a unique approach focused on “what is right for the project”. What enables good performance is the professionalism, humility and personalities of our people. No question is a daft one, no problem is yours alone and no one is too busy to lend a hand. It’s busy, it’s mad and I love it.”
BSc (Hons) PGDip, APM
Associate Director, Construction
Ashley joined Silver in 2009. An experienced project manager and employer's agent, his major projects include the construction of the UK's first eco-town at Bicester and Southmere Village, Thamesmead.
“ Silver has a great working atmosphere, relaxed but professional and supportive. I joined as a trainee and they really encouraged my development. We have a great approach to projects too. We try to add value every time, even if that means going beyond our brief to point out a gap to be filled or an issue to be addressed. The priority is always achieving the best possible result.”
"I wanted to express my appreciation on working with Silver DCC over the past two years. Silver demonstrated a strong ability to coordinate large and diversified teams and lead them to perform well under pressure and achieve remarkable results. It is encouraging to know that there are still people who care about what they do and the service they provide, and fight for their client. During our project of York Place we had the need to meet a very tight deadline on more than one occasion, whether a planning submission or a variation, or a financial event. During all of these events they made sure they were available, responsive, helpful to other team members. I would like to thank them for your past efforts and ongoing support."
